For landscape and winter imagery, watch my YouTube videos. For photos of birds, click on each photo for its name and the date I took the photo. This is a “Tahoe Big Year” and I’m making an effort to see as many species as possible, but there are some savvy birders here in the Tahoe Basin. I’ll be lucky to break the top 20 at the rate I’m going at. Haha. But, it’s all good because I get more and more knowledgeable about what is that I’m looking (and hearing) each time I go out.
A very short and semi-humorous/semi-introspective short film with imagery of a Red-breasted Sapsucker. Enjoy 🙂
I updated my YouTube channel’s introduction video the other day. This is the fruit of my labor 🙂
Mostly, I wanted to create something new that acknowledged my recently launched a Patreon account. This Patreon account is a pseudo-social media account that enables a digital creator to take monthly monetary payments for their efforts. It sounds odd, I know, but believe it or not there are people out there that do want to support my efforts of creating inspiring digital content that would, otherwise, be free.
My work will always be available to anyone who wants to view it, but now I offer the option that you can support me (if you feel so inclined!).
The cross-country skiing vlogs I produced this past month. I’ve been using these vlogs as a means to talk about things other than technique. And people have been responding to them well. I love to speak in metaphor and to use physical movement as a way in which to express broader concepts 🙂
The following two videos are way more technically oriented with regard to cross-country skiing. And, they’re pretty long! But, again, people have been requesting information about cross-country skiing technique. And I’m much to happy to oblige 🙂
Thanks for being a part of my life. Until next time…

Tahoe Trail Guide is an online resource for hiking, backpacking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing in the Lake Tahoe region. In addition to trail data, I offer backcountry “how-to” articles and information about the local and natural history of Tahoe. Tahoe Swag is a collection of art and design products I create based on my love of the outdoors and appreciation for Lake Tahoe and the surrounding Sierra Nevada Mountains.
